(GREENVILLE)- Law enforcement officers from the Greenville Police Department are teaming up for Cops on the Coop with Chick-fil-A on Haywood Road to support Special Olympics South Carolina this Friday, June 1, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics South Carolina is the largest source of funding for these athlete programs. Monies raised will be used to support the 28,902 Special Olympics Athletes from around the Palmetto State.
All donation amounts are welcome, but customers who donate $20 during this event will receive a 2018 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics t-shirt or hat and a complimentary coupon for a Chick-fil-A sandwich or biscuit. Donations of $1 or more will receive a free Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics wristband.
Special Olympics is a year-round sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Athletes are offered 26 different sports in which to participate. Sports training and competitions are complimented by leadership, health, and education programs and initiatives.
Active in all 50 states and 46 countries, thousands of law enforcement personnel around the globe are fulfilling the mission of Torch Run, which is to provide awareness of and funds for Special Olympics programs.
