Man Arrested on Multiple Charges After Hitting 5 Parked Cars

At approximately 9:30 a.m. July 11, 2013, Greenville Police Officers responded to the area of Woodlark Street (Arcadia Hills Community) in reference to a reckless driver. While Officers were en route the subject had struck five parked cars in the neighborhood. Officers arrived on scene and quickly apprehended the subject. It was then realized that the black Tahoe that the subject was driving was stolen. Further investigation revealed that the subject had other stolen property in the vehicle as well such as debit/credit cards. Officers then found a stolen handgun inside the vehicle. The investigation is still active, however the subject, Lonnie Lowe, 37, Simpsonville, SC, has been charged and is currently in detention. He was charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Pistol, False Name to Police, Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Hit and Run and Receiving/Possessing Stolen Property.
