Three Arrested in Connection with Gunshot on Brown Street

10/6/2013 - Just after 2 AM on Oct. 6, two officers were patrolling in the area of North Brown Street, when they heard what sounded to be a gun fire. The sound came from the parking lot near North Brown Street and East North Street in downtown Greenville. The officers rushed to the area and found 4 to 5 black male and female subjects running form the parking lot at North Brown Street, behind the Wireless Communications building. As the officers ran in that direction they noticed that the subjects hurried into a black jeep and reversed quickly. The officers were screaming for the vehicle to stop and they ignored this direction at first, however they eventually stopped. Officers took all five occupants out of the vehicle and smelled a very pungent odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, and noticed open containers of alcohol. All subjects were detained and taken to the detective division. There was a handgun found inside the vehicle as well. Three of the subjects were arrested and two were released. The charges are:
