Fight your way to the championship during our Adult Pickleball League! The adult league season spans 8 weeks, with regular season play for 6 weeks, and a final tournament during the final two weeks. League teams will consist of the 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5 skill levels as defined by the USA Pickleball Association.  The rating specifications can be found online here

Each team will play two matches on Tuesday nights for a chance to win end of season single elimination tournament. Note: A match is the best 2 out of 3 self-officiated games.  Players must bring their own equipment, and the City will provide Franklin X40 outdoor balls. League season fees are $80 per team and online registration is open now!

View the rules & regulations here.

Partner Registration: Before we can add your team to the league roster, a registration must be completed by ALL team members. Each team member will register online via Sportsman. When registering, under the activity information, the team captain will create the team and pay the team fee. All other team members, when registering, will select the team created by the Team Captain. This will negate the registration fee. Once registration has been completed, all team members will have joined the team.

The format of play is designed so that players play mostly with others of similar skill levels. Your ranking on the ladder is based upon your winning percentage (the ratio of points won to total points possible)

Players will move up or down the ladder based upon their winning percentage. The results of five weeks of play will be used for this calculation. Each week, players will be placed in groups of 5 in the order of their ranking on the ladder for match play. All players will play four 15-point doubles games in a round robin fashion with the other four players. Each game ends when one of the teams wins its 15th point (no need to win by two points).

At the start of each game, players may draw for the first serve and choice of side. The 5 players may agree to the sequence of partners prior to the first game. Otherwise, the top-ranked player will partner with the second-ranked player in the first game, the top-ranked player will partner with the third-ranked player in the second game and so on and so forth.

Players will change ends of the court when the first team has 8 points.

After the games are finished, players record their scores on a score sheet. Recorded scores are individual game scores and the total for the four games. There is a maximum of 60 points because games do not have to be won by 2 points. The player with the most points at the end of 6 weeks will be declared the winner.

A player unable to play on the specified day should email staff no later than 24 hours prior to the ladder play day. Missed games are not made up. The percentages are based only on the games that are actually played and an absent player’s most recent ‘score’ will stand until the player resumes play.

Rules and format subject to change at the discretion of City staff.
