2020 - 2021 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)
The City of Greenville’s Community Development division (CD) is accepting proposals from qualified organizations to develop housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income families within the city limits of Greenville for the period July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021. Proposals will also be accepted for city-owned property made available for affordable housing opportunities.
During this grant period, the City will receive and administer funding from a variety of sources, including but not limited to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Act (HOME) funds to assist in improving the quality of life among the City’s low- and moderate-income citizens.
In accordance with Community Development goals and objectives, funding will be provided to develop housing or provide owner-occupied rehabilitation programs for low- and moderate-income families whose incomes do not exceed 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Proposals must comply with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requirements and criteria listed in 24 CFR Part 570 and 24 CFR Part 92.

Financial empowerment counselors are now available in satellite offices throughout Greenville County to assist residents with financial goals such as debt reduction, savings plans, credit building and setting up checking/savings accounts.
The City celebrated with the Greenville Housing Authority at the groundbreaking for Preserve at Logan Park, a senior housing development on the site of the former Scott Towers.
