Human Trafficking Open House

In January 2020, Greenlink received a grant from the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Human Trafficking Awareness and Public Safety Initiative, which provides funding for projects to help prevent human trafficking and other crimes on public transportation. Greenlink is using its grant to conduct an 18-month education and awareness campaign that includes three phases, the first of which is outlined below.

PUBLIC SURVEY
Greenlink launched Phase 1 with a survey to help determine the public’s existing knowledge and perception of human trafficking in Greenville County. The survey was conducted onboard Greenlink buses from September 14 to October 11 and results are no longer being accepted. The survey was also available online but is now closed.

OPEN HOUSE EVENTS
Greenlink will host two drop-in style open house events to discuss the purpose of the project and the proposed timeline, and share the results of the survey. Seeking Feedback on New Multi-Day Pass

A second opportunity for Greenlink customers to provide feedback is through an initiative to explore the addition of a new pass product for Greenlink riders. Greenlink’s fare categories include time-based bus passes, which are valid for a specific number of days. Greenlink currently offers a 1-day pass (valid for one service day) and a 31-day pass (valid for 31 consecutive days); however, many customers have requested additional options. As a result, Greenlink is considering adding a new multi-day pass. Options include a 7-day pass, 10-day pass, and 14-day pass. To hear customer feedback on the various options, Greenlink staff will be set up in the Transit Center and will be riding the buses the week of November 16-21, 2020. Visit RideGreenlink.com and scroll down to see the events list for dates and times of the tabling.
