Greenlink is currently hiring for multiple positions! Full-time positions (except Trolley Operator) provide a competitive benefits package, which includes paid time off, holiday pay, medical/dental coverage, state retirement and much more. Below are overviews of each position:

Bus Operator

Bus Operators provide transportation for customers along fixed routes throughout Greenville County from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.  Candidates must have a Class B commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction.  Applicants who enjoy working in customer service would be a great fit for this job.  The salary starts at $15.50/hour and goes up from there based on experience. Bus Operator in Training

Don’t have a CDL? Don’t worry! The Bus Operator in Training is an 8 to 12-week training program that prepares individuals to become Bus Operators by helping them get their commercial driver’s license. To complete the program, participants are guided through the steps necessary to pass a state road test for a Class B vehicle. The salary starts at $15.00/hour while in training, then increases to $15.50/hour once participants finish training and are promoted to Bus Operator. Apply here.

Information Specialist

Information Specialists interact with the public by selling bus passes, answering questions about routes, and providing general customer service. Additionally, this position monitors radio traffic to communicate with riders and coordinate route changes due to accidents, construction, and other situations as they arise. The salary starts at $16.27/hour and goes up from there based on experience. Apply here.

Mechanic

Mechanics perform preventative maintenance services and safety checks on Greenlink vehicles. Work could include repairing and replacing brakes, shocks, engine oils, filters, lubricants, hoses, belts, bearings, plugs, as well as wiring, suspension, air conditioning, bodywork, and more. Mechanics are also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe shop area. The salary starts between $14.09/hour and $18.50/hour depending on skill level and goes up from there based on experience. This position also offers an ASE incentive option that can increase pay by another $5.00/hour. Greenlink is currently offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus for this position. Apply here.

Trolley Operator

Trolley Operators work part-time schedules driving the downtown trolleys on fixed routes. Trolleys operate Thursday and Friday from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. Candidates must have a Class B commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction.  Applicants who enjoy talking with people about downtown Greenville will enjoy this position. Trolley Operator – Seasonal

Two of Greenlink’s downtown trolley routes only operate April – September on the following schedule: Thursday and Friday from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. Candidates must have a Class B commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction. Individuals who are looking for a temporary opportunity and enjoy talking with people about downtown Greenville are encouraged to apply.
