Transit Driver Appreciation Day – March 18

We’re celebrating our frontline staff on Friday, March 18 in observance of Transit Driver Appreciation Day. Bus drivers are essential workers, and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, they have been vital to the continuation of bus service. We are especially grateful for their commitment to our community and their willingness to serve on the front lines during such an unprecedented time.

On March 18, consider giving Greenlink drivers a smile and a wave if you pass them on the road, thanking them for their hard work as you board the bus, or dropping by the Greenlink Transit Center to let them know you appreciate their dedication.

Art Contest Deadline April 1

Calling All Student Artists!

Greenlink is collaborating with the City of Greenville Youth Commission and the City of Greenville Arts in Public Places Commission on a contest to beautify bus stop shelters with inspiring artwork submitted by local high school students. The goals of this project are to help raise awareness about the Youth Commission, increase civic engagement and understanding of public transit, and provide access to public art throughout our community. Submissions are due on Friday, April 1 and up to six designs will be selected. The winning artwork will be installed in up to six Greenlink bus stop shelters (one design per shelter) by wrapping the outside of the rear glass panels of the shelters with vinyl decals.

Meet Louis

Video Spotlight: Meet Louis!

Meet Louis!
Louis has been driving Greenlink buses for more than 15 years.

Apply here to join Louis and the rest of the Greenlink team. Candidates with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) are eligible for a $1,000 hiring bonus. Hourly rates for bus drivers range from $16.50 to $24, depending on years of experience.

Don't have a CDL? No Problem!
Greenlink now offers in-house training with the “Bus Operator in Training” position. There’s no fee to participate in the CDL training, which would normally cost you over $2,000. And, while you’re actively enrolled in our Bus Operator in Training program, you’ll earn $16 an hour.
